Mike Harris

Candidate

Langford-Highlands

Mike Harris is a proven entrepreneur, real estate industry leader, and dedicated community advocate with more than 32 years of hands-on success in business, coaching, and public service.

He launched his first company at the age of 18, became a journeyman carpenter by 25, and founded a building and development firm before he was 30. At 33, Mike acquired a real estate brokerage and rapidly scaled it to three offices with over 100 agents. A highly regarded sales coach and mentor with multiple coaching and management certifications, he later served as Western Canada Franchise Sales Director for both Century 21 Canada and Centum Financial.

From 2011 to 2019, Mike was CEO of a U.S.-based eco-technology startup (Pacific Eco Tech, later rebranded Yellow Blue Canada), driving the parent company, Eco Technologies International LLC, into the global top 10 in its sector. He remains an active real estate licensee with 32 years of experience and currently owns a successful small business.

As a board member and candidate Mike Harris was instrumental in the takedown of the BC Liberals and the buildup of the conservative party of BC. In the 2023 Langford-Juan de Fuca by-election, Mike became the first Conservative in 40 years to defeat a Liberal candidate in B.C., finishing a strong second with 20% of the vote and kickstarting the party’s growth from 2% to provincial relevance. In the 2024 general election he placed a strong second with an impressive 39% of the vote.

Happily married to Debbie for 41 years, Mike is the proud father of daughter Lacie (married to Darcy, granddaughter Layla) and son Jesse (married to Cindy, grandchildren Jacob and Madeline).

A lifelong sports enthusiast and volunteer, Mike coached baseball, softball, and hockey for over 20 years, served on the boards of minor baseball and hockey associations for more than 15 years, and was Director of 5–10-year-old divisions in both Vernon and Mission Minor Hockey. He has been an active Chamber of Commerce member for over 30 years.

On the ice, Mike played competitive hockey for more than 40 years, captained and served as team president for a decade, and founded and presided over the Moonlighters Men’s Hockey League across Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Maple Ridge, Mission, and Abbotsford for 10 years.

An avid reader of self-wealth, biography, and business books, Mike is also a lifelong fan of hockey, baseball, and football. Before a serious car accident in December 2019, he enjoyed both water and snow skiing.

Resilient, family-oriented, and unwaveringly strong, Mike Harris continues to lead by example in business, politics, and life.
