Benefits of Membership
OneBC provides greater rights to members than any other official party in British Columbia. We value your voice, and our Constitution ensures that the voices of our members are heard.
Members have the right to form a riding association with 10 or more members.
Members have the right to run contests to select grassroots candidates as potential future MLAs.
Members have the right to require a sitting MLA to face a nomination contest before becoming the party’s candidate in a subsequent election.
Members have the right to trigger a leadership review if 75% of riding associations agree.
Members are welcome to participate in internal party elections and governance. They are eligible to vote and stand for election as delegates or as members of the Party's Board of Directors and Officer positions.
Party Membership Eligibility
In order to be eligible for membership, you must meet the following requirements and confirm that:
You are a Canadian citizen.
You reside in the Province of British Columbia.
You are eligible to vote in a general election within British Columbia.
Your membership fee is paid from your own funds, and no other entity such as a person or organization will reimburse you.
You are not a member of another Provincial political party.
You accept and agree to abide by OneBC's Party Constitution.
