This mess should be sorted out by the market and private businesses, not by the taxpayers of Canada and British Columbia.
The developers who went ahead with over-leveraged projects under uncertain economic conditions need to own this, take the financial hit, and face bankruptcy themselves.

For consumers, price discovery needs to happen; that is the best way forward for everyone.
