Naomi Chocyk

Candidate — West Vancouver-Capilano

Naomi Chocyk is the OneBC candidate for West Vancouver–Capilano in the 2026 B.C. provincial election.

She studied Political Science and International Relations at the University of British Columbia, entering politics as a teenager in Maple Ridge–Pitt Meadows, interning and campaigning for then-BC Liberal MLA Ken Stewart. She later worked as a provincial political aide and as a constituency assistant for Jody Wilson-Raybould. In 2019 she was the People’s Party of Canada candidate in Vancouver Granville, running against her former boss. In 2020 she was the BC Libertarian candidate in Vancouver–False Creek.

Naomi’s parents fled communist Poland in the early 1980s. That first-generation experience grounds her belief that individuals should have dominion over their own lives—and that large, centralized government is the threat, not the solution.

She has an extensive background in marketing and events and has volunteered as a peer support worker at overdose prevention sites, low-barrier shelters, and mental-health groups. She argues that housing, addiction, and public-safety failures across Metro Vancouver are the product of multilayered government programs that have not worked—and that West Vancouver–Capilano needs representation willing to say so.

With OneBC she is focused on repealing SOGI-123, restoring parental rights in education, lowering taxes, defending free markets, and delivering results instead of more bureaucracy.
