Chantel Gibbs
Candidate — Vernon – Lumby
Born and raised in Vernon, BC, Chantel completed her primary and secondary education locally before attending Trinity Western University, where she earned a B.A. in Business Administration and a B.Sc. in Chemistry. In 2016, she obtained her professional CPA, CGA designation.
After living and working in Vancouver for a number of years, Chantel returned to Vernon in 2024, where she built a home jointly with her sister. She is pleased to be back in her hometown, where much of her extended family continues to live, and remains deeply connected to the Vernon area.
Chantel has been involved in volunteer service through her local church and Toastmasters, and currently serves as a volunteer director with the Canadian National Christian Foundation. Her family also had a longstanding connection to the Vernon community through their business and has supported local organizations, including Vernon Jubilee Hospital and Vernon Search and Rescue, through significant charitable donations.
Chantel is seeking public office as a OneBC candidate. She describes her motivation as providing voters with an alternative to the established political parties and representing truly conservative views openly and consistently throughout the campaign, regardless of the outcome.
