Abraham Nordine
Candidate — Kelowna-Mission
Abraham Nordine’s family moved to Kelowna from a northern logging community when he was a young child. Growing up in the 1980s and 1990s with four brothers, Kelowna was their playground, from karting at Malibu Grand Prix and swimming at Gyro Beach to playing baseball at Elk’s Stadium. They also learned the value of hard work through a large paper route and pruning and picking fruit trees. His father, a self-employed accountant, worked long hours to provide for the family and taught him a foundational truth: the government should provide a hand up, not a handout, and nothing in life is free except grace.
He met his future wife, Eniko, in Grade 6. Today, they have been married for 25 years and have five children. Although they have moved a few times over the years, they have always remained within the Kelowna-Mission riding. His faith in Jesus is central to everything he is, and as a Christian, he considers his values inseparable from his professional life. He is also fiscally conservative, believes in smaller government and less bureaucracy wherever possible, and identifies his political views as libertarian.
Abraham has experienced both the strengths and challenges of the medical system firsthand, including waiting for specialists, undergoing back surgery, and later receiving care through an oncology department. He values the medical system and wants to see it improved. Equally important to him is defending parents’ rights to raise and educate their children. He believes that the stronger the family unit, the stronger society becomes.
His professional journey has always been rooted in entrepreneurship. He graduated from Okanagan University College in 1999 with a business diploma and has been primarily self-employed ever since. Over the years, he has built a diverse career consulting for businesses, working as a licensed mortgage broker with Invis Inc., designing and building a spec home hands-on, and working as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Horizon Realty. More recently, he returned to managing an import and wholesale business.
Abraham is the OneBC candidate for Kelowna-Mission.
